A
short introduction..
Rick's
is a practitioner of Japanese garden design principals and elements.
Your garden or landscape project need not be Japanese or Asian in
character, but many design principles and practices are applicable.
Most, if not all landscapes are focused on summer with few considering
the winter character. At Rick's winter is as important as summer.
Landscaping
is more then just about plants. Such topics as privacy, drainage,
accessibility, storage, irrigation, snow accumulation, and maintenance
issues are important considerations in the layout of landscape improvements.
Such items as storage sheds, gates, fences, greenhouses, bridges,
patios, paths/walkways, and electrical outlets are important elements
in helping a landscape improvement become functional as well as
pleasing to view.

Is
your landscape overgrown, does it have certain site problems, and/or
lacks appeal?
The design emphasis is to make it easy to construct, simple to
care for, and a delight to view.
Don't
know where to start, but want to change some of the landscape?
We will help guide you in the process of developing
your landscape with less effort, cost considerations,
and potential conflicts. Landscape projects can
be fun, stimulating, and fullfiling.
Can
landscaping be a "Do it yourself" project?
We at Rick's encourage you to see our design approach in practice
at our business location. Landscape projects can be performed
in phases and coordinated to meet budget factors. Our
design's are easily suited to those who enjoy to "Do it yourself"
Is
it expensive?
Our designs can be balanced to the owners budget and
aspirations. Landscaping need not be difficult, cumbersome,
or expensive.
